What water slide options do you offer?
Big Wave Party Rentals offers a wide range of inflatable water slides, from smaller slides and wet combo units to towering dual lane slides and wet obstacle courses. Every unit on this page is approved for Delaware events.
The right choice depends on your riders, available setup space, event size, location, and how much thrill you're looking for. Use the finder above, or click any rental to see its details.
How big of a water slide do I need?
Start with your riders. For younger kids, a wet combo or a smaller slide gives them bouncing, climbing, sliding, and splashing in one rental. For a big backyard attraction, look at the 18′ to 22′ slides. For maximum WOW, the 24′ to 27′ slides bring the kind of excitement guests notice before they even get out of the car.
Not sure? Call 302-229-9801 and tell us who's riding and how much space you have.
How do I rent a water slide in Newark, DE?
Choose the water slide you're interested in, check its availability for your event date, and add it to your cart. Then enter your event information and complete the reservation process.

Will it fit in my yard?
Without visiting your location, we can't know for sure, so every unit's setup area is posted under “More Info” on its page, and measuring is up to you. The units are bigger than you think, and we'd hate to show up on your special day and not be able to set up. Proper setup can also need extra clearance around the unit.
As a guide, the wet combos need as little as 25′ x 18′, the 15′ to 22′ slides need about 35′ to 45′ in length, the 24′ slides need 70′ x 30′, and the 27′ Bermuda Blast needs 75′ x 30′. See the size guide above.
Not sure whether your favorite will fit? Call us before booking and we'll help you figure out your options.
Can adults use your water slides?
It depends on the unit. The Tropical Hurricane, Lava Splash, and Tiki Plunge list riders from 48″ to 76″ tall and 55 to 220 lbs. The Storm Surge and Bump N Slippety list 39″ to 72″ and up to 200 lbs, and the Orange Crush Castle Combo is listed for children to adults. Most wet combos are for kids 12 and under.
Check the individual listing, or call us before booking if adults will be participating.
Do I need a water hookup?
Yes. Wet units run on a water hookup, so make sure you have water close to the setup area. Dry units and dry slides don't need one. Questions about your setup? Call 302-229-9801 and tell us about your event.
What is included in the price of my water slide rental?
Your price covers an all-day rental (up to 8 hours) along with delivery, setup, and pickup. A minimum order may apply depending on your location. Prices do not include Delaware rental tax (1.9914%) or any applicable state tax for Maryland and Pennsylvania. Review your selected item's details and checkout information for any event-, location-, or rental-specific requirements and charges.
Prices on this page run from $375 to $645.
What start and end times should I enter?
Enter your event's exact start and end times. We'll make sure your rental is ready for your start time. A day or two before, we'll text you a delivery window, and we've never been late to an event. Delivery may happen the day before, but we can't guarantee that, so please don't tell the kids.
How far in advance should I book my water slide?
As early as you can once you know your event date, especially for summer weekends, holidays, school events, and other popular dates. Popular rentals and dates can fill up.
Already know your date? Check what's available before you spend another hour planning around a slide that might already be booked.
What is your delivery policy?
We deliver throughout our regular service area, including Newark, Middletown, Wilmington, Bear, and Hockessin, DE; Elkton, MD; Landenberg, PA; and surrounding communities. Events outside our normal service area may still be possible depending on location and availability, and additional delivery fees may apply there.
Make sure there's at least 6 ft of access to the setup area. Inflatables can weigh up to 700 pounds, so we need a clear path with no stairs or steep hills.
What is your cancellation and weather policy?
We're very flexible. We understand the weather doesn't always cooperate. If you or Big Wave decides it's necessary to reschedule, your deposit can be used toward anything on our website. We may require rescheduling based on the current forecast from Weather.com and/or WeatherUnderground.com.
We can't set up when the forecast calls for a 30% chance of rain or greater. We also can't set up inflatables with sustained winds over 15 MPH or projected gusts of 15 MPH or more. In that case, you can reschedule or choose replacement items from available equipment. If you cancel within 30 days of the event, the deposit may not be refundable but can be used as a raincheck toward another rental.
Do you require a deposit, and how do I pay?
Yes, every order requires a $100 deposit. We accept cash or credit cards. If you pay in cash, please have exact change, because our drivers don't carry cash. Final payment by credit card must be made before or at delivery, and a technology fee applies to card payments. We accept company checks only.
Want to see the contract and safety rules? There's a link in your receipt once you order, or contact our office.
Do I need power, and does it have to stay plugged in?
Yes. A blower keeps air in the inflatable the entire time, and once it's unplugged the unit deflates. We require an outlet within 100 feet of the unit, or a generator. Most slides use 1 outlet, and the 24′ slides, Bermuda Blast, Dolphin, and wet obstacle courses use 2. Big Wave provides the heavy-duty extension cords. No outlet nearby? Add a generator to your order.
What surfaces can you set up on?
Grass is our favorite and best for the kids. We can also set up on asphalt, concrete, or indoors on a gym or similar floor. We can't set up on rocks, gravel, mulch, or sand, because the constant rubbing wears through the vinyl. An additional surface fee applies to units not set up on grass that need more than 10 sandbags.
Do you set up in parks?
Yes and no. Parks are available most months, depending on demand. Because parks are open to the public, the customer must be with the unit at all times, so exact setup and pickup times are harder to accommodate in our busy season (June, July, and August). Generators are a must-rent in a park. Please call to reserve in a park so we can check availability.
Do you operate in Pennsylvania, and why are some slides DE/MD only?
Yes. Big Wave Party Rentals is licensed and insured in Pennsylvania, but not every unit is PA approved. Look for units marked PA, MD, DE Approved, or use the finder and choose Pennsylvania. Some slides are DE/MD only because Pennsylvania does not allow a pool at the end of an inflatable. See our PA approved inflatables.
Do you deliver to the University of Delaware?
We deliver to the University and the surrounding area only for University-sponsored events.
Can I get a combo without the water?
Yes. Nearly every wet combo has a dry version, usually $70 less. Browse our combo bouncers and dry slides, or call us and we'll point you to the right one.
Are your water slides clean and safe?
Clean means CLEAN. Our professional team cleans every unit and performs a safety inspection before your event, and the same standard applies to every inflatable we deliver, water slides included.
